Elektradrive To Release Live Album Of Reunion Tour
. "We can only thank the people all over the world, for waiting so long, and to have written" says Simone. "And last but not least, we can say... Open your heart! Listen and play to what your heart tells you... ROCK ON!!!!" Although not a household name to most followers of classic '80s hard rock, in Italy Elektradrive was one of the top rock bands that delivered hit after hit to massive audiences. Although the band's fame never went further than Italy and parts of Europe, now reformed and rocking better and harder than ever, the legendary group is ready to take on the rest of the world by storm! Formed in 1983, Elektradrive became one of the premier Italian hard rock acts, until they dissolved after their album 'Big City in 1994. In 1986, with influences that ranged from The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Todd Rundgren and Frank Zappa to Boston, Kansas and King's X, the group released their debut album 'Over The Space', which garnered rave reviews and formidable airplay throughout Italy. In the band's heyday, Elektradrive was on the fast track for success receiving five stars in UK's Kerrang Magazine for their second album 'Due' in 1989 and supporting major groups like Manowar on several large tours of Europe. The group even flew to the US in 1990 to play some concerts culminating in a high profile show at the famed Roxy in LA, which was described by the band as "The most important live experience we ever had in our career." By 1993 Elektradrive's third LP 'Big City' was declared album of the year by some major Italian and European magazines. In 1994 the band members went their separate ways, until a reformation over a decade later in 2009. And what has kept the spirit Elekradrive alive all these years through ups and downs, lead guitarist Simone Falovo explains, "Passion for music and songwriting...recording sessions...arrangements...production... Even if we stay disbanded for more than 10 years, we always kept in touch with each other. And then there was the big desire to come back and do something new came about when we started the making of 'Living 4' the album title is introspective and talks about ourselves... we all live for something special and in Elektradrive's case, that thing is the music...above all!" In 2009, much to the elation of the group's fans across the globe, Elektradrive reunited and recorded possibly their best album to date, 'Living 4'. Elektradrive Today:
