. In an interview with Mitch Lafon of Bravewords.com, Hughes said he stopped using drugs and alcohol because ultimately it wasn't fun anymore. "I was too tired of being sick and tired," he said. "At some point, every alcoholic and drug addict [in their disease] will have that moment. Some don't get that moment." Hughes said that in the '80s he wasn't the man he is today.
