CBGB Movie Coming
. The film, tentatively titled CBGB, will chronicle the years 1974-1976, when the club served as the launching pad for The Ramones, Television, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, Blondie and other important acts of the era. Co-producer Lisa Kristal Burgman, daughter of CBGB's late founder Hilly Kristal, said: "It was an old-fashioned salon in an awful part of New York where people could fail while they worked to find their voice. [Hilly Kristal] provided a voice to the disenfranchised. It's a heroic and flawed story." more on this story Gibson.com is an official news provider for the Day in Rock.
