Amy Winehouse Dead at 27 (Top 11 of 11)
. Winehouse shot to worldwide fame with her 2006 album Back to Black, which went on to win five Grammy awards, including Best Album and Best Pop Vocal Album. The album's breakout single "Rehab" took home three Grammys, including Record and Song of the Year, as well as Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. Winehouse's personal troubles were well-documented over the last few years. Police confirm she was pronounced dead at her Camden Square home in northern London. Cause of death has yet to be determined. London Ambulance Services said that the singer was dead before the two ambulances dispatched to her home arrived. Winehouse canceled her European tour last month after she was booed off stage during the tour's first show in Belgrade due to severely slurring the lyrics to her songs, making them virtually unrecognizable. "I didn't go out looking to be famous," Winehouse told the Associated Press shortly after releasing her Back to Black album. "I'm just a musican." - more on this story
