Rooney Frontman Robert Schwartzman Going Solo

10/07/2011
.
Rooney frontman Robert Schwartzman has announced the release of a new solo album and a supporting tour this fall.

Schwartzman will independently release his solo debut, Double Capricorn, on October 25th. All album, licensing and touring revenue will benefit the Tibetan Healing Fund, a not-for-profit humanitarian organization established to improve primary healthcare and education for rural Tibetan women and children in the Tibetan regions of P.R. China.

"It brings me so much happiness to take something I love to do, write and record music, and use that music for an important cause like the Tibetan Healing Fund. I'm excited to perform these new songs and share them with everybody," says Schwartzman.

Robert will embark on a 24-city North American tour starting October 23rd at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, with supporting bands Voxhaul Broadcast and Ocean Grove that will wrap on November 23rd in Salt Lake City, UT at Kilby Court. Robert will also play a date on October 14th in Anaheim, CA at Chain Reaction before the tour starts (full routing below).
