.
(Gibson) It's official. After 15 years apart, the original members of The Stone Roses are reforming for a world tour in 2012. The band announced the news in a London press conference, according to Spinner.

The Roses, who include Ian Brown (vocals), John Squire (guitar), Gary "Mani" Mounfield (bass) and Alan "Reni" Wren (drums), will play two hometown shows in Manchester, England on June 29 and 30. A tour will follow.

There have been rampant rumors about the group getting back together in recent years following a long spell during which Brown and Squire didn't speak to each other. But things have changed. According to a report in the Manchester Evening News, Squire said, "It might even be enjoyable." more on this story
