Melvins Lite will be hitting the road in July in support of their debut release, Freak Puke, which is set for release on June 5th.
Melvins Lite is billed as the additional incarnation of the Melvins which features Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantτmas).
The upcoming trek kicks off on July 1st in Rochester, NY and has been dubbed Melvins Lite Canada +.
"The Melvins have a long history of mixing up our line-ups and I think that's what has kept us relevant for so long," explains Osborne. "Consider the Freak Puke record the fifth side of the four-sided Melvins triangle."
Dunn is known as one of rock and jazz's top bass players, performing on both a traditional and upright bass in a wide range of bands and as a freelance musician. He is currently recording the new Tomahawk album, is a member of Fantτmas and was the bassist for Mr. Bungle.
The Melvins, in their current four-piece line-up, appear on Last Call with Carson Daly this Wednesday, Apr. 25.
