(Classic Rock) The crypt where Elvis Presley's body lay before it was moved to his Graceland home has been pulled from a celebrity auction following a fan backlash.

Supporters erupted in fury after Julien's Auctions announced the empty tomb in Forest Hill Cemetery, Memphis, was to go under the hammer with a starting price of $100,000.

The end price was to include a memorial inscription, use of the cemetery chapel for a service and the opening and closing of the crypt for burial.

The sale was called off before yesterday's event as a result of fan activity.
