85th Annual Academy Awards Major Oscars Winners List

The Academy Awards were handed out on Sunday night during a television broadcast for the major category Oscar winners.

Argo took home the Best Picture Award, Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor for his fictional portrayal of Abraham Lincoln.

Critical favorite Zero Dark Thirty was shut out of the major categories but won an Oscar for Best Sound Editing.
