Fatal Shooting Outside Rapper French Montana's Tour Bus
. It all started around midnight, after rapper French Montana performed at the TLA on South Street. Afterwards, his tour bus drove to Columbus Boulevard, with several fans following. The bus then parked outside the Holiday Inn Express near Race Street. The fans were gathered outside the bus when, Philadelphia Police chief inspector Scott Small says, "According to some of the witnesses, they say a car drove by and opened fire into the crowd." Two men were hit by gunfire. A 26-year-old, identified by police as Jowann King of Flushing, NY, was shot in the abdomen and later pronounced dead at Hahnemann University Hospital. A 28-year-old was hit in the shoulder; he showed up at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital after the shooting and is in stable condition. Philadelphia police commissioner Charles Ramsey says it appears to be another case of someone firing into a crowd of people. More including video from a local CBS news report.
