One Direction Wins Worst Band Award
. The group were awarded twice at the NME Awards 2013 for Worst Band and Villain of the Year. Nominated alongside Muse, Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber, the boy band won Worst Band for the second year in a row. Harry Styles also took home the win for Villain of the Year, trumping Skrillex, Azealia Banks, PSY, Fred Macpherson and UK Prime Minister David Cameron. Though we're not sure how the outcome is tallied, his recent break-up with country-pop sweetheart Taylor Swift might have had something to do with it. While the boys weren't there in person to accept their awards as they're currently headlining their Take Me Home European Tour, Harry Styles took to Twitter for his acceptance speech.
