(UCR) Elton John revealed that he's actually been in the studio with Burnett even more recently than 'The Diving Board.' "I just did a thing with him the other day for 'American Epic,' a six-episode program about the history of the blues," said John. "I got to use the original machine from 1934 that Bessie Smith and Louis Armstrong recorded on, and I wrote a special song with Bernie [Taupin], and Jack White played on it. So it went straight to analog. That was a lot of fun. more

Hill comes by way of New Orleans' local acts Missing Monuments and Mountain of Wizard. more

(BW&BK) Deicide will release their new album, In The Minds Of Evil, on November 25th in Europe, and November 26th in North America, via Century Media Records. The band have just released the lyric video for 'Thou Begone' below. "Look up... Look down... Look all around.... Right his wrong! Thou begone!" cackles Deicide frontman Glen Benton. Watch it here

(BW&BK) Anathema's Vincent Cavanagh revealed that the band is ready to enter the studio in December. More specifically he said: "We are preparing to enter the studio after we finish this tour. We have a lot of new ideas and we just have to choose which songs we'll prepare for the album. We have, I would say 60-70% ready! In December we'll start recording for about three weeks, and after a break for Christmas we will continue by the end of January and finish mixing on February." more
