Zac Brown Band Announce The (Dave) Grohl Sessions
. On Dec. 10, Zac Brown Band will release The Grohl Sessions Vol. 1 on Brown's own Southern Ground label. The album will include their first studio recording of "Day for the Dead," as well as "The Muse" (written by Radio.com Beers with the Band artist The Wood Brothers), "All Alright" and "Let It Rain." Both Zac Brown and Grohl had only praises for each other and the recording process. "We have a lot of freedom now that we didn't have before. We can record this amazing music and within two weeks, three weeks put it out to the people," Brown said in a behind-the-scenes video. "We just opened up to Dave and said, 'What do you think about this?' He said, 'Were going to track it to tape, we're not going to use any computers.' I just felt in my gut that it was the thing to do. I felt like everything i've ever seen him do was great." A fan of the band, Grohl was flattered that his name was being used as the record title. "He told me he wanted to call it The Grohl Sessions and I said, 'Dude, are you sure you want to do it?' It's the most flattering thing anyone has ever done for me. It's going to be really weird to click on iTunes and see a recording called The Grohl Sessions." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
