Mel B's New Single Inspired by 'America's Got Talent' Contestants
. The big surprise came when the fans, including Kim Kardashian and Ellie Goulding, clicked the link and got a good view of the singer on the Desperate Housewives soundstage, planting a big kiss on her own lips. And we owe it all to certain talented Americans who Mel has been subjected to of late. "This all just came about, all of a sudden," Mel said in an interview with Radio.com. "I was just sitting on the panel on America's Got Talentand I just got the fire in my belly. I said to my husband, 'I want to get in the studio tonight. I have this song idea. I feel invigorated, I feel inspired.' Watching people perform week in, week out, I'm sitting there like, 'I want to perform!'" So she took matters into her own hands, all the way down the line. Mel co-wrote the song, recorded it overnight and was on set to make a video three days later. The whole video was completed in an almost unheard of 9 hour shoot. "From four costume changes, four hair and make-up changes, me having to learn a [dance] routine on the spot, me double-dutching which I've never done before in my life and the whole thing, the whole concept is so positive and hopefully so inspiring," Mel said. More including video. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
