Fans Can Jam With John Lennon, Hendrix, Freddie Mercury Holograms

10/18/2013
.
(Gibson) Rock fans will soon be presented with a chance to "perform" live with some of their heroes. Set to open next year is The Music Hall of Fame, a museum located in Camden, north London, that will feature interactive holograms of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Freddie Mercury, Kurt Cobain and other music icons. Attendees will be able to interact with the holograms, with footage of their "meetings" available for purchase on DVD.

The innovative idea was triggered by the "appearance" of rapper Tupac Shakur—in hologram form—during a performance staged by Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre at the 2012 Coachella festival.

"You could be transported back to a specific moment of music or play with artists who are no longer alive, even playing back-to-back with a hologram," said project manager Lee Bennett, speaking to the London Evening Standard . "I was at Coachella watching Tupac and it blew people's minds." more on this story
