After performing local festivals with classic covers like Van Morrison's "Brown Eyed Girl," the girls started writing together and touring with acts like Mumford and Sons, Florence + the Machine and Rihanna. The band soon got the attention of Jay Z, who signed them and is releasing the album on his label, Roc Nation. The LP includes their latest single "The Wire," which they wrote in 2008 and recorded 15 times over the past five years. "It was an emotional roller coaster," Danielle said.
