Some Saxon Shows To Go Ahead Despite Motorhead Tour Cancelation
. Saxon has been working to rework dates in some of the markets, and advised fans that they are trying to make their headline shows in Luxembourg, Holland and Malmo happen and urged fans to be patient while they try to work out the logistics. The band has confirmed that at least three exclusive club shows in the UK have been scheduled this month with Stormzone supporting them at two of the shows. "It's sad to hear that Lemmy has had to cancel the tour again. We wish him well & hope he can conquer whatever illness he has," frontman Biff Byford told fans on the band's official site. "As you can imagine it's a nightmare trying to work out the logistics having had so many shows cancelled; we are doing as many of our headline shows as possible for our fans." Their camp sent over these details and the dates: Saxon will head to Northampton, Preston and Buckley to revisit venues where they last entertained audiences back in 1979 and 1980, in a memorable comeback which will see them perform tracks from their latest album 'Sacrifice' next to a selection of classics. A tribute to the band's loyal fan base, Saxon's return to their roots promises to be a special treat not to be missed. Some footage from the events will be used for an upcoming documentary, which also includes filming from July 13 shows at Holmfirth Picturedome and the Steelhouse Festival. Dates:
