St. Vincent Unveils New Song 'Prince Johnny'

( St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) used a guest DJ spot at Los Angeles public radio station KCRW Wednesday (Feb. 5) to reveal new song "Prince Johnny," off her forthcoming self-titled fourth studio album, due out Feb. 25.

Where previously released songs "Digital Witness" and "Birth in Reverse" found St. Vincent exploring horn-blasted dance beats and uptempo rhythms, "Prince Johnny" is a much moodier affair, with a ghostly choir and a thick, hip-hop thump underneath her soaring, melodic vocals.

Clark's latest release will be her first new full-length since collaborating with former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne on 2012 album, Love This Giant. The two followed up the album with a joint tour and the 2013 EP, Brass Tactics. Clark's last solo album, Strange Mercy, came out in 2011. more on this story is an official news provider for
