Gibson Reveal 2014 Les Paul Lineup

(Gibson) Gibson has revealed the 2014 product lineup of Les Paul models. There are guitars to suit any budget and style. You want a light-weight guitar? We got it! You want a guitar that tunes itself? Try a Les Paul with the Min-ETune system! How about coil-tapping so you can get a single-coil sound out of your trusty Les Paul? We got that too! Let's take a look at some of the different Les Paul models available in Gibson's 2014 lineup!

Les Paul Melody Maker: Ever thought you could own a Gibson Les Paul for under 600 dollars? The 2014 Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker retails for only $569! This guitar is the perfect introduction to the Les Paul family of guitars, and it fits almost anyone's budget. The light-weight thin profile body is perfect for beginners, and comes with P-90SR and P-90ST pickups. The 22-fret neck has the 120th Anniversary logo at the 12th fret, and the traditional Les Paul winged headstock.

LPJ: The LPJ is the next step up from the Melody Maker. Featuring a traditional Les Paul mahogany body with weight relief and maple top, combined with a '50s rounded maple neck, this guitar looks and feels like what you've come to expect from a Les Paul. Equipped with our new '61 Zebra coil humbuckers, there's plenty of bite in this baby, and the new larger strap pins ensure that your guitar stays safely strapped in when you're rocking out on stage. The LPJ is also available as the LPM, which has Gibson's Min-ETune� system, making accurate tuning a breeze. Choose between twelve pre-programmed tunings, or add six of your own custom tunings.

Les Paul Peace: Do you wish you could go back to the sixties, when rock music was new, and flower power was in full bloom? If so, the Gibson Les Paul Peace is the guitar for you! This beauty has a mahogany body with traditional weight relief, and a '60s slim taper neck. The chrome Tune-o-matic stopbar says PEACE, and the max grip speed knobs are adorned with peace signs. The Les Paul Peace feature '61 style Zebra coil humbuckers, and you'll be carrying the guitar in style with a hemp covered case with a peace sign, and a tie-dye interior. The 2014 Les Paul Studio comes with 490R/490T pickups with coil tapping, allowing you to get a single-coil sound from your Les Paul. Les Paul Standard: The Les Paul Standard has it all. The guitar comes equipped with BurstBucker Pro 1 and 2 pickups, with both coil tapping and a phase changing feature in the neck pickup that reduces the mids in your tone. Les Paul Traditional: The 2014 Les Paul Traditional can be summed up with one word - sustain! This guitar features a solid mahogany body without weight relief, and a figured maple top in six stunning finishes. In combination with our new '59 Tribute Humbuckers with orange drop capacitors, the late '50s thick neck does wonders for your sustain.
