Guy Manning Retires His Band

(Prog) Guy Manning has announced the retirement of his Manning band, saying the collective has reached its "natural end of life." He's working on two solo projects and hopes to get involved in other people's bands, but as a member rather than leader.

The band released 14th album The Root, The Tree & The Bone last year, with a line-up including Julie King, David Million, Kris Hudson-Lee, Rick Henry and Martin Thiselton.

"I'm sure that I will be working individually with the folks on future projects - but for now we are to go our separate ways," Manning reports. "It has been hard work and much fun; the live shows were all good and the albums we produced as an ensemble have been very well received indeed. I wish each and every member of the Manning band line-ups all the very best." See what he plans next.
