Knotfest To Go Beyond Just Music
. You might think, "those nice metal kids are having a wholesome time up at San Manuel Amphitheater from October 26-28." And then you see what Knotfest is really about. From the Knotfest website, the attractions include: Fire Area/Thunderdome - two men enter, one man leaves. Thunderdome is an actual Thunderdome where people will fight until one man gives up. The fire area comes "straight from the bowels of hell" and is a performance exhibit with, you guessed it, tons of things on fire. These attractions will be kept open all day and night. Costumed Performance Artists - 30+ costumed pagan performers roam around festival adorned as different creatures with fire-walkers, fire-breathers and sword-swallowers all joining in the fun. Zipline - This will cost extra, but it has never been done at an American festival. Ring of Fire Carnival Ride - We have no idea what this is. Surely something about clowns and terror. Scent of Knotfest - "Knotfest has it's own aroma that will infest your brain, body and clothes for days after the festival is over. Personally picked by Slipknot themselves, oil drums will be filled with camel s-t and oil, set aflame to last the entire festival." Goat Petting Zoo - "Goats will freely graze in the heavy-petting zoo where Knotfest attendees can get close to their horned spirit animals." Also included will be Junk Car Drum Circle, Tattoos, "Flaming Carnival Games," and a Slipknot museum. Check out the map and more. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
