The Devil's Blood's Selim Lemouchi Dead at 33

Malcolm Dome knew Lemouchi better than most on Prog, and offers his thoughts on a remarkable musical talent who will sadly be missed: The first time Selim Lemouchi showed his talents was in a Dutch band called Powervice. With heavy influences from early Iron Maiden, their three track 2005 demo was all based around Lemouchi's inherently melodic, yet creatively challenging songwriting. But a year later, the band had split up. "I left because I wasn't prepared to deal with people who put taking drugs and partying before the music," he said at the time. "Now, I am going to take my career in a very different direction.
