Florida Georgia Line's Cruise Songwriter Chase Rice Ready & Set To Roll

. (Radio.com) Don't be surprised if you hear Chase Rice more often on the radio in the coming weeks. The country singer announced last week (March 27), that he has partnered with Thirty Tigers, RED Distribution and Columbia Nashville, who will immediately start promoting his current single "Ready Set Roll."

"We believe 'Ready Set Roll' is great for radio," Rice told Radio.com during an interview this month. "It's already outsold some No. 1 songs, which is ridiculous to me and awesome at the same time. It's working."

Rice is best known as one of the songwriters behind Florida Georgia Line's ACM-nominated monster smash "Cruise." On top of that, he's also a successful independent artist with a couple of self-released titles under his belt.

In 2013 Rice released the EP Ready, Set, Roll through his own label, Dack Janiels. The EP has sold more than 68,000 copies to date, according to a press release. His single, and title track, "Ready Set Roll," debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes sales chart and has already sold over 260,000 copies.

Now this year, Rice told Radio.com, "It's all about 'Ready Set Roll' for me. It was the tour last year, it's going to be the tour this fall." more on this story
