Radio is Still Top Source for Music Discovery
. The Edison Research and Triton Digital recently discovered that AM/FM radios are how most people find new artists. Naturally, word of mouth through friends and family is second with YouTube coming in third. According to their report, 950 Americans older than 12 were surveyed. Seventy-five perfect said AM/FM radio is the top source for keeping up with music while friends/family was ranked at 66% and YouTube falling at 59%. Pandora was a close fourth at 48% while Facebook, Music Television Channels, and information/displays at local stores and Apple radio all came in around 30%.
