Dolly Parton Corn Maze Announced
. According to the McMinn County Imagination Library, Parton will be honored for her help in raising awareness for the 10th anniversary of the Imagination Library. Mayfield Farm in Athens, Tenn., will honor Parton's cause, which fosters a love of reading among pre-school children in East Tennessee. Founded by Parton in 1995, the Imagination Library's mission is to mail families an age-appropriate book each month to those in her home county. Since it's launch, Imagination Library has expanded to over 1,600 local communities which have provided over 60,000,000 books to families in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. On Sept. 27, Parton's eight-acre corn maze will open to the public with a pumpkin patch and haunted trail. The anniversary celebration of Parton's Imagination Library will be held this weekend, on Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
