(Radio.com) Jason Aldean concerts are meant to be a fun affair, but this year tragedy occurred time and time again. In May, a man committed suicide in the men's room of Aldean's show in Atlanta. Then, in July, a man was found dead in a dumpster after Aldean's concert in Cleveland and just last month a drunk driver was arrested after he hit a police officer at one of his shows. In a new interview with Rolling Stone Country, Aldean and Eric Church open up about the fatalities at recent country shows.

"That was a pretty interesting year as far as that stuff goes. I saw some stuff during all that that I don't ever care to see again," Aldean tells Rolling Stone Country. "It was something that was really weird. It seems like we had a streak of things like that happening to us this year."

While there is not one reason to explain why all these deaths and injuries have happened, Aldean said alcohol is often to blame. "People are going to drink and they're going to have fun," Aldean says.

"I don't know what you really attribute it to other than anytime there is alcohol involved, stuff like that is going to happen. Even if you're at a ballgame. Or a nightclub. Or wherever. You can't really say, 'It's country music.' That's ridiculous."
