(Radio.com) Hunter Hayes was enjoying some down time this Fourth of July weekend at a restaurant in Washington, D.C., when a performer began playing a familiar song.

The restaurant's entertainment, singer-songwriter Sheen Righter, started to sing Hayes' previous No. 1 hit "Wanted." An excited Hayes began to film the performance when Righter noticed he was standing outside a booth nearby.

So he offered him the mic to sing the chorus. Because, you know, original singer and all. A few screams from restaurant patrons show that they recognized the country singer. As Righter and Hayes finished the song, the two posed for a selfie.

Later, Hayes posted a video of the two trading vocals, adding, "This dude is killing it!" Hayes is prepping a new album, his third, for release possibly sometime this year. Check out the video here.
