Dave Gahan and Soulsavers Premiere The First Holographic Music Video
. Watching the video on a flat screen, as seen above, offers an interesting experience but hardly as remarkable as when viewed on a smartphone or tablet with a clear plastic pyramid set atop the screen. The result is a truly 3-dimensional view of Gahan, viewable from all sides. Think of Disney's haunted mansion where Madame Leota's head mysteriously floats inside a crystal ball. The mesmerizing visuals were created by Fourclops, a directorial team headed up by Eli Stomberg and Jeff Greco. The duo is known among record labels and music producers "for combining technology with video in interesting innovative and new ways," says Stomberg in an interview with Radio.com. Although the visual trickery has been used by Disney, Tupac, Chief Keef and most memorably by Princess Leia, the difference is that now people can experience it at home with a mobile device. "Our goal is to try to get as many people as possible to enjoy video in this new form," explains Greco. Read more and watch the video here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
