Beastie Boys' Mike D Remixes AWOLNATION's 'I Am': AWOLNATION News
. That all changed when he recently released a remixed version of AWOLNATION's "I Am." In an interview with Rolling Stone, he said, "When I heard 'I Am,' it had the anthemic dynamics that we associate with AWOLNATION. I had a different version in my head of what the song could be, so was happy to be able to manifest that." Under Mike D's thumb, the song takes on a decidedly more electronic sound with a forceful beat that propels the song's anthemic quality. The result is a more energetic and assertive sound than the original. Check out the track here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
