J. Cole's Creative Process Captured In New Online Video
.
(Radio.com) Watching an artist's process can be as exciting as getting to hear their finished product. J. Cole proves he can make a beat just about anywhere in a new video that surfaced on YouTube. The hip-hop star sits in front of a keyboard and a Macbook Pro slicing together beats and melodies. But it's where he's doing it that's getting all kinds of attention. J. Cole isn't in a studio, he's on his tour bus. After he hits upon the right sound, he gets incredibly excited. "That's what we was waiting for," he mutters under his breath before calling for Ron Gilmore to come help him. Gilmore is Dreamville Records' in-house producer, and he's worked with J.Cole in the past. He just happened to be on the bus that day. Gilmore takes what J. Cole has come up with and adds down extra keys to flesh it out a bit. Watch here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com. |
