The Strokes Working On New Studio Album

(Radio.com) The Strokes guitarist Nick Valensi reveals that the band is currently working on new music with plans to release it next year but they are keeping this mostly quiet about the new material. Valensi spoke with DIY about new music. "We are slowly but surely working on an album," he said. "I don't know when it's going to be released, we're kind of just in writing sessions. We're writing." If it sounds like it's still in the early draft stages, Valensi clarified, "I'm actually in New York at the moment, at a studio in New York for that." Valensi shared that The Strokes planned on releasing new music in 2017, but wanted to keep things as quiet as possible. In reality, they'd be completely fine with a surprise drop. Read more here.
