Official Press Release

Former Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider, is releasing his debut solo record, Never Let The Bastards Wear You Down,  on August 22, 2000 and it is apparently his last.  According to Dee, I am definitely of the mind to put my musical career behind me.  I see this record as the last chapter in my recording career.

Dee says, the album will be a collection of musical ideas that Ive had, but have not  had the chance to record, from my days in Twisted Sister through the ill-fated Desperado, and Widowmaker.  Its always bothered me that I never had the opportunity to showcase some of the best stuff Id written from that period.  Now with the renewed interest in old-school, heavy metal and the help of KOCH Records, these favorites of mine will finally get the exposure I always wanted them to have.  In the liner notes Dee describes his thoughts on each song.  He says, Going back and recording these songs from different times in my life brought me back to the time they were written and gave me a unique opportunity to look at these songs from a different perspective.  Rock n roll has always been cathartic for meI never could have survived without it.

Currently hosting a morning radio show on WMRQ Radio 104 in Hartford, CT, and a nationally syndicated radio show heard in over 90 cities called House of Hair, Dee is also writing a sequel for his cult film Strangeland.

Although Dee sees this as his final recording, his musical legacy will live on.  KOCH Records is releasing a Twisted Sister tribute album in November, 2000.  Founding Twisted Sister member Jay Jay French is on board as Executive Producer.  Although the album lineup and details regarding it are still being hammered out, it is rumored that Motorhead, Sevendust, Sugar Ray, Lit and Fu Manchu are participating.  Twisted Sister has contributed a track as well.
