According to Slayerized.com, Kerry King of Slayer said of the band's forthcoming album expected this winter: 

"If you're expecting us to start doing some hip hop s**** like Limp Bizkit or Korn just because it's popular, then you're gonna be disappointed. The next record will be very heavy - exactly what our fans expect and want from us." 

Also reported on Slayerized.com concerning plans to release two box sets next spring. 

�As well as re-recording The Antichrist, we might also record stuff like Necrophiliac for the boxset. It may also feature some of Jeff�s 4-track demos, which has guitar, bass, drums and vocals in it. It will be interesting for the fans to see a bit of the working process.� Said Kerry King

The Beast is back and hotter than ever. Tickets for Iron Maiden's August 5th concert at Madison Square Garden sold out in two hours.

Incubus will release their new EP ,"When Incubus Attacks" on July 25th .

It has been reported that Marilyn Manson will return on Halloween 2000 with a new release through Nothing/Interscope records. The new album is entitled "Holy Wood (In The Shadow Of The Valley Of Death)".

Staind will soon be re-releasing their indy album, "Tormented" through their official ARTISTdirect web store: Stainddirect.com.  

Reveille is rehearsing new material and is expected to enter the studio to record the follow up to their Elektra Records debut this summer. The new album is expected by the end of the year. 

Roadrunner Records has two heavy new releases coming up. Boiler Room's "Can't Breath" will be out on Aug. 22nd & Spineshank's "the Height of Callousness" is set for a Sept. 26th release. 

Corrosion of Conformity has inked a deal with Sanctuary records and has started work on a new album. 

Cannibal Corpse will release a new live album and video/DVD called " Live Cannibalism" on September 26th according to the Metal Blade Records web site.

Coal Chamber's drummer Mike Cox has broken his shoulder. No word yet if this will derail the band's plans for the Tattoo the Earth festival this summer. 

Sevendust might be touring with Pantera this fall for dates in Australia and Japan. 

In related news: Pantera is doing a number of in-store appearances to promote their latest release "Reinventing the Steel". Porn stars will join the band for some of the dates, and other fans will have the chance to play golf with Vinnie Paul. Not a golfer? Vinnie and Rex will also be having Sega Dreamcast matches against fans.
