musicNEWS:  So Cal’s Hottest Unsigned Artists on Tap for This week’s antiMUSIC / Happenin Harry Party.

.
I’m really excited to bring you the following news, please excuse my enthusiam but this is just gonna be one killer night and I want you to be there! aG

It’s cliché’ but to critics who have witnessed the Long Beach music scene, many have proclaimed that it could very well be the next Seattle. We are pleased to tell you that we have lined up a few of the hottest Long Beach artists for a special antiMUSIC / Happenin’ Harry party this Sunday at the Cat Club in Hollywood.

Over the past few weeks Happenin’ Harry’s Hellhole sponsored in part by antiMUSIC has been selling out and fans have packed the club to witness performances by Buckcherry frontman Joshua Todd’s new band Shotsfired (see story) and a special set by Beautiful Creatures.

This Sunday the “Long Beach Music Scene will invade Hollywood”!  Happenin’ Harry has been bringing LA Music fans the best up and coming artists as well as some of the biggest names in rock for years, this show promised to be extra special with performances by Twelvehourmay, lowfive, Johnny Jones, the Suffering Haloes, Bird3 frontman Bird’s first solo performance since Bird3, GM and the night starts off with a extra special solo set from Wonderlove’s Chris Paul Overall!

You may recognize a few of the bands listed if you are from the Southern California or have seen prior coverage of them here at iconoFAN but for those who don’t know them here is a little bit about each.

Twelvehourmary is one of the most promising bands on the Southern California music scene. They have a sound all their own and last month created such a buzz with their performance at Happenin’ Harry’s Hellhole, Harry has asked them back to meet the demand of clamoring fans.  They put on one hell of a show and their music is incredible.

Johnny Jones and the Suffering Haloes, just flat out rock. They have that big rock sound that we just don’t hear these days. They will be headlining the party this Sunday, so this is a performance you don’t want to miss!

Lowfive features former members of Queens of the Stone Age, Bird3 and The Flys and in their short time together have created quite the buzz in Hollywood. This is their last live performance before they head into the studio to produce their debut album, so you won’t want to miss them this week as it might be the last chance to see them in a while.

GM – features former members of the Flys, so it will be a reunion of sorts with them sharing the stage with Lowfive. Who knows Flys fans, might see an inpromptu Fly’s jam??

The bird3 frontman Bird will be playing a very special solo set. This is Bird’s first show since Bird3 and he will be playing you some of his new songs and also some old Bird3 favorites. Fans who caught The Cult and Veruca Salt on tour last year should recognize Bird3’s name. They also were named best new artists in our year end review for 2001. Bird is a gifted songwriter and performer, so you don’t want to miss this show as he reintroduces himself to So Cal music fans and gets set to take things to the next level!

Last but definitely not least, Chris Paul Overall will kick off the night of music at 7:00pm with a special solo set. His band Wonderlove is a clear leader in the So Cal music scene at the moment, selling out shows from LA to San Diego and creating a buzz that is unmatchable. They also were the biggest winners at last year’s Orange County Music Awards, winning Best Live Band honors among others.

If you’re in the LA area and want to see the rising stars of the local music scene Sunday night is a show you can’t afford to miss!

As always, Happenin’ Harry will have his special all star jam at the end of the night, rockin you with your favorite hard rock hits with a whose who of guest musicians!

Here are the full details on the show plus a discount flyer. Hope to see you there! Until then stay anti!
