These UK pop-punkers can be best described as a poorman's Offspring. That's not entirely a bad thing as the Offspring were one of the more successful bands to give punk a melodic edge and create a distinctive sound. Other things in Snowdogs favor is they don't latch on to the generic punk-pop sound. Ok, they use simple chord progressions but for the most part the melodies don't follow that same sing-song formula that gets old really quick with "emo" groups. Instead they opt for a more straight forward rock sound.
One thing that some people who follow this genre might find a liability is the fact that they are not consistent in their overall sound. I for one chalk that up in the asset department, unlike most groups in the genre where you get bored after the third song, Snowdogs manage to mix up their sound enough that you look forward to hearing what's next.
They aren't the world's great band but they a step above most bands on the "warped" circuit. They are worth checking out especially if you're a fan of Americana era Offspring.
