San Franciscos Quinton gives us a new
rock spin on the traditional singer/songwriter formula. Its a compelling
listen because Quinton incorporates a lot of diverse elements into his
music that meshes so well that it all appears under the surface giving
his sound a rich soulful quality. His raspy vocals are delivered
over some straight ahead rock guitar. While the musicianship and vocals
are top notch if not overly complicated, the melody and vocal lines at
times become tedious. Quinton shows a lot of promise, if anything hes
got a remarkable edgy voice that should capture some attention.
Posted by aG: Fake -Why would you be surprised that
I visit TMK or read your reviews? Granted I don't go there everyday but
I do visit a few times a month to see what's new. I have read several reviews
over there by you, c-man and a few others. Whatever no worries. My main
thing is vocals and I really liked Quinton's style its a nice departure
from all the AIC and Pantera rips offs. It's like anything some will like
it, some will love it and some will hate it.

Fake: I doubt you've actually read my reviews
and can agree with them :) I've never posted here, and it would surprise
me to know you come to my website. Also, the track I like is Care, not
What... And sorry for not putting this is my whole message a spamming your
comment system a little.

Fake: I guess your right, I'll use your little
comment at the end in my review if you don't mind.

aG: Hey Fake you know I usually agree with
your reviews but I disagree here. Sure this isn't the most ground breaking
release ever but it does have some cool songs on it. I kind of wrote off
this CD at first listen but I always force myself to listen to it five
times and it really grew on me. C'est la vie different strokes for different
folks.

Fake: I have to review this album too. I hate
it. The album has an amateur feel... you can hear the electric drum, he
doesn't do more than 2 chords per song. And what's the need of swearing
all the time? He sounds like a NRA supporting white trash, not a professinal
lyricist from times to times.
This album still has very good parts though.
"What" is great, but in my opinion the album is a flop and Hoover records
should get a new icon for their label. It's the first time I don't like
an album that much. www.themusictank.com
