It appears that the Backstreet Boys are
stealing yet another page from the New Kids On The Block playbook. After
releasing three studio albums, put out a repackaged greatest hits collection
to cash in on the groups dying fame while you still can. Most serious
artists wait until they have a half a dozen albums under their belt before
going the greatest hits route but since when are the Backstreet Boys considered
serious artists?
Chances are the same girls who will lineup
to purchase this collection already own the groups first three albums
filled with excessively sentimental fluff delivered with overly studio
processed vocals and simplistic accompaniment. If you buy into this scam
by all means help fill the Backstreet Boys bank accounts some more by purchasing
this CD. But if you are looking for music with substance avoid this and
the rest of the Jive catalog like the plague!

Hey what up hypocrite. I'm a guy, I could careless if all these guys looked like Brad Pitt or Tom Arnold. I think their music, not their marketing, is quality and has much emotion in it. Plus you can relate to most of the lyrics unlike some punk rock songs focusing mostly on drugs and alcohol.

How is metal real music? So noisy, or at least in the hardcore category. Nothing wrong with power metal like Iron Maiden, The Cult, Black Sabbath, etc. Also, Slipknot are nothing but a bunch of psuedo-angry morons. As for teen pop, all garbage. The problem with teen pop isn't that they sing love songs. Love is a deep, meaningful, and important thing. Matchbox 20, Train, Savage Garden, and Barenaked Ladies all sing love songs. However, they do it with depth and creativity. Intelligent, poetic, and sometime humorous (in BL's case). Teen pop is so soulless and mindless, that it's not even funny. They're all about image, chosen by record companies, pre-packaged and sold to mindless teenyboppers who care nothing for art.

sinceramente creo que nadie es apto para criticar a nadie, ya que con esas criticas se puede herir a muchas personas (y no precisamente los bsb), cada persona tiene sus gustos y estos son respetados sean cuales sean.
Estoy de acuerdo que sacar este recopilatorio es exageradamente apresurado, pero otros artistas han hecho similar y nadie les ha juzgado.
y puede que si sean muy pasteles, pero otros son agresivos, y otros superfluos, no veo bien que los bsb hayan sido juzgado de boysband por el hecho de que son cinco, si alguna vez les escuchan atentamente podran comprobar que tienen talento, quizas no el que les gusta a ustedes pero lo tienen, y eso es respetable.

I own all 4 international CDs as well as Chapter 1.
This album is released because bsb are starting a new music life and will change their style as they enter chapter 2.

err I like the bsb, they've released 4 international albums and 3 american ones, and er now they have a greatest hits, the reason y I like em is coz I bought there first album when I was 14 and now I'm 21, so it's more of a sentimental thing. They're both manufactured. bsb have been around for 9 or 10 yrs making young gurls soil their undies, but they've lasted coz they've also made good infectious, swedish inspired pop melodies that will not change the world or infact mean a thing but they may put a smile on a certain sum1's face as they're having a bad day trying to make it to uni on time to sit in on the worst and most boring tutorial manking could ever experience in the history of human existence that not even the most evil people on earth should ever have to endure. Ok *Deep breath* back to the topic. They are the only pop band I listen to, Gosh I hate that walking contradiction, slutty whore like slut lolita of a barbie wannabe slut manufactured talentless slut britney "I'm a slut for you" spears ugh and don't get me started on N'stinkerooni. I just need to listen to happy, meaningless, artificial, contrived music somtimes and I actually enjoy it! I prefer alex lloyd, powderfinger, garbage, anything with damon albarn though. I wouldn't be caught dead at a bsb concert, It would be like going back to kindergarten. like I said or typed for that matter, I only long for their tunes and not for them and their so called good looks, and if they were smart, they would be targeting an older more easier listening and less fickle audience if they r to retain longevity. I hope they do. Coz as much as I love alex lloyd and real musicians, I think ur never too cool to avoid listening to everything else, er u know wat I mean.

i think that you are all missing the point. the backstreet boys do what they set out to do: entertain. they never claimed to be top-notch musicians or song writers, but they DO claim to be singers. and THAT they can do. if you're a backstreet fan, great. if you're not, great. my point is, you can only get what you want out of the music that you listen to. and if you're expecting the backstreet boys to be the best thing to ever happen to music, that's like expecting "bring it on" to win oscars. it's important to understand the goal of certain music groups. the backstreet boys do what they do, and they do it well. you can't hold that against them. and they have been together for eight years and have put out four albums. i think that this is proof enough that they aren't money-grubbing pop artists like *nsync or britney spears who consistently put out an album every single year. it's that whole quality versus quantity thing. ...and in the end, why bother upsetting backstreet fans. if the pop music scene ever fades that will be heartache enough. they don't need you to be a jerk about it.
