Singer, songwriter & producer Bob Schneider's "Lonelyland" album mixes jazz and funk influences into an acoustic blend of eclectic tracks. The feel of this album is very Dave Matthews/David Gray oriented. No two songs sound alike, and the listener can't help but get caught singing along at times because of the infectious hooks within the tracks. The album's flow of songs prevents the listener from having to select random play mode in order to mix up the mood for the album. The tracks selected for the album provide a wide range of moods, influences and tempos to satisfy a first time listener. Track seven, "Mood Song" provides a perfect example of going into a track that sounds like no other on the album. The Spanish flavored track might remind someone of a lazy, summer afternoon in Mexico when the world stops and people just enjoy their surroundings. If acoustic inspired melodies and varied styles of music is what drives you to listen to an artist, this album is a must have.
