Unreleased Beyonce Song Accidentally Leaked

(Radio.com) For every song that makes it on an album there are usually at least a few others that get left behind. Some might surface down the road, as one of Beyonce's did when her producer Boots realized an Instagram video he was trying to shoot driving around New York Tuesday (August 9) contained an unreleased Bey song playing in the background. He wasn't playing the song in the car, but on his iPhone and didn't realize that the video would pick it up.

Boots owned up to his mistake on Twitter in a now deleted tweet. 'that moment when u didn't realize Instagram records audio from your phone even though the camera app doesn't," he says on Twitter. 'accidents in the 21st century," he wrote (via Idolator).
Boots produced Beyonce's 2013 self-titled album. It's unclear whether the song playing on his iPhone is something new he's working on with the singer or a track from their project together that never saw the light of day. Even though the video no longer appears to exist on any of his social media accounts, a clever Bey fan got to it before it disappeared forever. Listen to the brief snippet here.

Tyga Reportedly Faces Arrest Order From Judge

(Radio.com) After Tyga (Michael Ray Stevenson) failed to show up in court on Tuesday (August 9), a judge reportedly issued a bench warrant for the Compton rapper's arrest, according to a new report by TMZ.

Tyga's case dates back to 2011 when he rented a Malibu home for $16,000 a month. According to a case filed by the home's landlord, he failed to pay one month's rent before breaking the lease early, and leaving the property in a state of disrepair.

Court papers claim the floors, a shower and more were left in disrepair, and the master bedroom featured a brand new stripper pole. To handle the costs, a judge approved a $480,000 judgment against Tyga in March, but he hasn't paid yet, according to the Los Angeles Times. Read more here.

The Simpsons Mixing The Great Gatsby And Hip-Hop

(Radio.com) The Simpsons will be going hour-long for the first time in its 28 years, and the episode will tie together F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel The Great Gatsby with hip-hop.

The hour-long episodes comes as part of The Simpsons' celebration for reaching 600 episodes (via EW). It wasn't meant to exceed the show's typical 30-minute running time, but thanks to a particularly exciting table read executive produce Matt Selman said they decided to "supersize it."

"The Great Phatsby" will detail a part of Mr. Burns' past when he befriended hip-hop mogul Jay G. Thanks to The Great Gatsby theme that pervades the episode, many are reading Jay G. as a wink toward titular character Jay Gatsby, but could he also have something to do with New York legend Jay Z?

Jay G "seduces Burns into the excesses of the hip-hop lifestyle," and the second part of the episode follows Burns as he teams up with the Simpsons, an "all-star team of rappers," and new character Praline (voiced by Empire's Taraji P. Henson) to get revenge. Keegan Michael Key voices one of the all-star rappers, Jazzy James, who was also betrayed by Jay G. 20 years ago and seeks payback. Read more here.

Drake Joined By J. Cole and Fat Joe at Madison Square Garden

(Radio.com) For his last and final night performing at Madison Square Garden, Drake decided to go "all the way up" and bring Fat Joe and J. Cole on stage. Throughout his Summer Sixteen Tour with Future, which launched in late July, Drake has been tapping rappers and artists left and right to make things even more memorable. Rihanna made an appearance during his stop in Toronto (which doubled as OVO Fest) and Kanye West showed up in Chicago.

Drake had nothing but nice things to say about Cole, calling him "one of the smartest, greatest, most legendary artists of our generation." Cole performed his hit single "No Role Modelz" and "A Tale Of 2 Citiez" off his album 2014 Forest Hills Drive. He also performed a song on which he's featured, Jeremih's "Planez" (via XXL).

While closing out the show, Drake continued addressing the rumors that he's beefing with Eminem. A New York radio DJ began those rumors (and helped fuel the beef between Meek Mill and Drake last summer), and Drake seems to be wearying of it all. For every show he's held at MSG this week, he's been dissing and denying any animosity between himself and Em. Instead, he's taken aim at the DJ who keeps running his mouth. Read more here.

Hillary Scott's Daughter Makes Stage Debut

(Radio.com) Lady Antebellum's show in Kettering, Ohio on Sunday (August 7) turned into a family affair of sorts as Hillary Scott's daughter Eisele Kaye joined the group onstage.

In video a fan captured, Eisele runs across the stage, waving as she goes, before Scott scoops her up and introduces her to the audience. But whatever bravado she had in the beginning suddenly disappears, and when Scott asks her to introduce herself, she gets shy and turns her back to the crowd. "This is Eisele Kaye and she just turned three, couple weeks ago," Scott tells everyone. "Last night at our show she was begging to come out on our stage, and so now of course she gets shy."

But when her mom asks her to wave one more time, Eisele turns back and offers an adorable hello. On Instagram, Scott shared a sweet picture of the moment, explaining how Eisele performed the ABCs before the band launched back into their set. "My precious girl made her Lady A stage debut tonight in Ohio!!! She did a PERFECT rendition of the ABCs before we sang American Honey! My. Life. Is. Made. Now," she wrote. Watch here.

Chris Martin Covers Bruce Springsteen's 'Streets of Philadelphia'

(Radio.com) Chris Martin performed "Streets of Philadelphia" in, wait for it, Philadelphia on Saturday (August 6). Coldplay were in town playing the city's Lincoln Financial Field when Martin changed the night's tone by slowing things down for a moment (via Billboard).

He grabbed his acoustic guitar, sat front and center, and began playing the moving song Springsteen wrote for the 1993 film Philadelphia. The crowd joined in, adding their voices to give the song an added emotional quality.

It's just the latest in a series of covers the band has been performing as they continue their world tour. In early July, Martin and folk singer Lianne La Havas paid tribute to Prince with a quiet, stirring cover of "Sometimes It Snows in April." Watch Martin play "Streets of Philadelphia" here.

Singled Out: Tender Glue's Hope Street

Tender Glue is set to released the brand new album "Steady Light" on August 26th and to celebrate we asked him to tell us about the song "Hope Street". Here is the story:

The name of the song came from the street that I work on, Hope Street. Part of what I do is maintain garbage and an example of an everyday task are things like scrubbing chewing gum off the sidewalk.

One day when I was home after work, I sat down, started strumming two chords and then the rest just came out. It was one of those moments when you try to write as fast as you think. I thought about how for some people, nothing works out, and how they have to work three times harder than everyone else. There's also another meaning of the song. It was other factors - things were piling up in me and one day everything broke.

The song was recorded shortly after writing it. I don't exactly recall how the recordings went, but I think if there was any struggle, I would remember. When I was recording the song, it was just me in my bedroom. I bought this Ebow a while before writing the song just to play around with it and realized that maybe it would fit with the vibe.

I wanted to make it sound the best that I could, but in the back of my mind I thought it was just a demo. Then, after thinking about whether to do it professionally or not, I decided not to because I didn't think I could replicate this feeling that I put into the recording again. If I did it again, it would be like I was faking it.

It's funny how Hope Street could be portrayed for some people. For me, there was no hope on Hope Street at that point.

Hearing is believing. Now that you know the story behind the song, listen for yourself here and learn more about the album right here!
