A Tribe Called Quest Pay Tribute To Phife Dawg

A Tribe Called Quest have paid tribute to their bandmate Malik I. Taylor, a.k.a. Phife Dawg, who died on Tuesday March 22nd, 2016, due to complications resulting from diabetes, according to his family.

Here is what the group had to say, "Our hearts are heavy. We are devastated. This is something we weren't prepared for although we all know that life is fleeting. It was no secret about his health and his fight. But the fight for his joy and happiness gave him everything he needed. The fight to keep his family happy, his soul happy and those around him happy, gave him complete and unadulterated joy until he heeded his fathers call.

We love his family his mother, his father, his son, his wife, his nieces, his family here in New York, Atlanta, California and Trinidad. Thank you for the outpouring of prayers and support from the fans, fellow artists, music outlets, blogs, radio stations, DJ's, social media and the music community at large.

"This too is part of his joy and means a lot to him. His family is overwhelmed by the support, well wishes and are thankful. His music and what he's contributed is seismic and hard to measure. He's affected us as much as he's affected all of you.

"We're inspired by his daily joy and courage. He wasn't in pain. He was happy. We take comfort in knowing he will be beside his grandmother."

Adele Covers Bob Dylan's 'Make You Feel My Love' For Brussels

(Radio.com) Adele closed her show at London's O2 Area on Tuesday night with a dedication to the city of Brussels and its residents. Earlier in the day the city was attacked by terrorists who bombed both an airport and subway station.

"This is for Brussels tonight. I want you all to sing it with me, so they can hear us," she told the crowd, before beginning a solemn cover of Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love".

Rather than singing along with Adele, the crowd offered its light by way of cellphones. Everyone remained respectfully silent, allowing Adele's voice to carry its message. Once she sang the final note, they burst into applause and cheers, their solidarity with Brussels becoming clear in that last moment.

'I don't think I've ever actually been so moved in my life at one of my shows, that was just so beautiful," she said. 'Thank you very much for doing that, I really appreciate it. It's such a beautiful song. I think they heard us." A fan captured the moment, watch it here.

Justin Bieber Cancels 'Draining' Meet-and-Greets With Fans

(Radio.com) Justin Bieber announced Tuesday night that meet-and-greets with fans on his Purpose tour will be canceled. His Instagram version of the announcement explained that the facetime with fans left him feeling drained and exhausted "to the point of depression."

However, concert promoters announced that a recent meet-and-greet was suspended due to a lapse in security that occurred at a VIP fan huddle. "Love u guys.. I'm going to be canceling my meet and greets," wrote Bieber on social media. "The pressure of meeting people's expectations of what I'm supposed to be is so much for me to handle and a lot on my shoulders," he continued. "Never want to disappoint but I feel I would rather give you guys the show and my albums as promised. Can't tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn't so hard on me.. Hanson Says Everyone Sings 'MMMbop' Wrong

(Radio.com) It's hard to believe two decades have passed since the release of Hanson's chart topping "MMMbop," the percussive earworm with no obvious lyrics or meaning.

As they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their hit single, the Hanson brothers are setting the record straight: All these years, you've been singing the song incorrectly.

They spoke to Vulture: 'People can't sing the chorus right," Isaac Hanson said. 'Most of the time they syncopate it wrong." "I think 'MMMBop' probably needs a really good cover," added his little brother Zac. Read more here.

Diplo, Skrillex Preview Florence Welch Collaboration

(Radio.com) Florence Welch is known for her signature style of mystical rock, but her forays into dance music have been memorable--think Calvin Harris' remix of "Spectrum (Say My Name)" by her band, Florence and the Machine.

Amid his current tour with Skrillex as Jack Ü, Diplo shared a Snapchat featuring Flo's unmistakable vocals laid over a nice dance beat, straight from his hotel room.

The teaser suggests we might hear a new EDM collaboration with the folky alt goddess in the near future. Florence and the Machine were nominated for five GRAMMY Awards this year for their third album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful. But now its seems it might be time for another jaunt into the world of dance production and disco wailing.
