antiMusic reports: If you got that 666 tattoo
you may have to have it corrected. If you are afraid to leave the house
today in fear of the Beast of Revelation coming to town, have no fear since
the Bible passage states it's the number of the beast's name not a date
and also since scholars in England last year discovered the answer that
the long debate on whether the number was really 666. It turns out it's
not, it's really 616.
Researchers in England have been studying
400,000 pieces of papyri that were discovered in 1895 near Oxyrhynchus,
Egypt. The papyri are believed to date back to around 300 A.D. (about a
hundred years older than other sources of the Book Revelation.) With the
use of modern technology, these researchers discovered last year that the
passage is chi, iota, sigma which translates to 616 not the much feared
666. The debate has raged for centuries about who the mystical number represents.
Some feel the 616 represented Roman Emperor Caligula (played by Malcolm
McDowell) who ruled over Rome at the time the biblical book was written.
Others think that the 666 represents Nero. We here at antiMusic suspect
that both camps are wrong as our unscientific research finds that the number
may refer to either Clay Aiken (birth name Clayton Holmes Grissom) or Katie
Couric (no hate mail from the Claybots, it was a stupid joke). That should
scare you, but a date on a calendar shouldn't. But to celebrate 6.6.06

Reuters reports: Pornographic photos of Paul
McCartney's estranged wife, Heather Mills, have surfaced in the British
tabloid The Sun and on newspaper's website, www.thesun.co.uk. The photos
were taken for a hardcore German book titled Die Freuden Der Liebe--The
Joys Of Love in 1988, five years before the motorcycle accident in which

Channel Sued |
FMQB reports: A class-action lawsuit was filed
last Friday (June 2) in a Denver federal court, accusing Clear Channel
Communications of breaking anti-trust laws in its dealings in the concert
business. The suit specifically named Clear Channel's broadcasting division
and its live entertainment spinoff, Live Nation.[see full story for more]-

antiMusic reports: Wanna smell like Carlos
Santana? Now you can, the Jurassic rocker along with his wife unveiled
his new men's fragrance at Macy's Herald Square in New York on Monday,
according to MTV. Carlos and his wife were on hand to sign bottles of the
new product which is billed as "a rich scent inspired by the music of Santana".
We here at antiMusic have no idea what it smells like but if it's to be
a hit it will most likely be a cover of another fragrance as Carlos did
score his two biggest hits with other people's songs ("Oye Como Va" by
Tito Puente and "Black Magic Woman" by Peter Green of Fleetwood Mac).-

story: Suicide may have been the cause of death for former Tubes and Grateful
Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick. Friends of Welnick reportedly told the
San Jose Mercury News that the musician took his own life at his Bay Area

has left Finnish prog-metallers SILENT VOICES. His official statement on

SOULFLY frontman Max Cavalera has slammed the current touring version of
his former band as "fake" and has reiterated his desire to one day take
part in a reunion of the group's classic lineup. When asked during a Sirius
Satellite Radio interview last month if there have been talks between him
and the guys in SEPULTURA about getting back together one day, Max said,
"There's been a lot of talk � rumor and stuff. I don't know� What I know
is that Igor [Cavalera, Max's brother and current SEPULTURA drummer] is
not on tour [with SEPULTURA] right now [Editor's Note: Igor announced earlier
in the year that he was taking a break from SEPULTURA's touring activities
to spend time with his second wife and their new son], and to me that's

Internet Group has published a paper on DRM today that makes a number of
very progressive recommendations on DRM in British law. The APPIG solicited
public comments, and the UK Open Rights Group submitted a long, detailed
set of recommendations on how to make Britain safe from copy-restriction
technology. Many of the best recommendations in the APPIG mirror the ORG
proposals, which suggests that Parliament is really listening to tech activists
