AP reports: MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. - A failure in an underground electrical line apparently caused a series of gas explosions that sent utility hole covers flying and forced cancellation of a Goo Goo Dolls concert, officials say. Piracy worse than child porn
Inquirer reports: THE NEW look Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) seems to be giving the world an unusual moral code.... It appears that the DMCA will have a maximum sentence of ten years inside for the crime of software and music piracy. It will also give the FBI the powers to wiretap suspected pirates.... assaulting a police officer will get you five years, downloading child porn will get you seven years, assaulting without a weapon will get you ten years and aggravated assault six years.

So in other words if you copy a Disney CD and sell it you will be in the same league as a paedophile who is distributing pictures of sexual attacks on children. [the Feds can't control the border but they want to wiretap DVD and CD pirates? see full story for more on this from CNet]- Click Here for the Full Story

Liberal Homosexual Rally
punkbands reports: An angry parent who recently went to a Fall Out Boy show with his/her (not sure which) daughters in Charlotte, NC fired off a letter to Island Records saying the on-stage antics of the band were reminiscent of a "liberal homosexual rally." I guess Fall Out Boy's brand of gutter punk/hardcore/satan metal wasn't considered "family entertainment." Oh wait... Fall Out Boy play TRL-friendly pop punk. So what's this person's problem? Celine Infected
hecklerspray reports: The long necked, oval faced Celine Dion ain't doing so well. Sure, by some really low standard her career is probably still alright - that's not what we're talking about.

Celine Dion is sick. And she's dizzy. Plus she just realized her husband looks a little more like a pudgy, balding Phyllis Diller than any man ever should. We doubt you'd fare any better given her circumstances. Anyway, her health's got her feeling low - it's an ear infection of sorts.[hecklerspray make smartass into a true artform.. see full story for more fun]- Click Here for the Full Story
