Grand Theft Kanye?
TMZ reports: Rapper Kanye West has been sued over a Mercedes that is allegedly being held hostage.

In Sept. 2002, West's company, Konman Entertainment, Inc., leased a Mercedes G500 for $1,295.00 a month. West personally guaranteed that the lease would be paid.

The lease expired in Jan. 2006. But according to the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the car was not returned and the defendants stopped paying. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Master P Vs Sony
Contact Music reports: Hip-hop veteran PERCY 'MASTER P' MILLER is suing Sony Music for $500 million (GBP278 million) after the industry giant allegedly refused to play his son LIL' ROMEO's new tune on the radio. U CAN'T SHINE LIKE ME is thought to be a response to a track, FRESH AZIMIZ, by Romeo's much publicised rival BOW WOW, in which the aspiring rapper used a stream of vitriolic lyrics to poke fun at his competition. But despite enjoying huge internet success, Romeo's answer is only being aired on rotation on three US radio stations. [see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Loser Dears
CMJ reports: The Dears are set to unleash the follow-up to their breakthrough 2004 release No Cities Left. Despite titling their new one Gang Of Losers, the band is being less than self-depricating when it comes to chatting about the record. Frontman Murray Lightburn says on the band's MySpace page, "We are really proud and are very much looking forward to everyone playing the crap out of it. As clichéd as this may sound, it's by far the 'best work we've ever done.'" He also goes on to mention the presence of horns and mellotrons, but that the record will be more of a "stripped down, raw affair." While a single is due this June, the record will not be hitting shops until August[see full story for more]- Click Here for the Full Story

Trendy Trent
Day in Rock reports: Metal Sludge has a gift for unearthing photos of famous rockers that the rockers in question probably wish never saw the light of day. The latest victim is Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor. The photos show Trent in a couple of his former bands from the 80s decked out in Duran Duran style. The first photo comes from 1984 and the band The Urge in the form of a flyer that proclaims that they are "Already The Area's Number One Dance Band" . Sludge shows another photo from 1988 that they say reminds them of "N'SYNC meets the cast of The Goonies." Trent moved on the bigger and better things after that when he joined The Exotic Birds. Sludge has the photo proof and quips "Head like a Hole? We think not! More like: 'Her name is Rio and she dances on the sand!'" . You can see the photos at the full story link. - Click Here for the Full Story
