(blabbermouth.net) The organizers of Spikefest 2006, a series of events designed to raise money for D.R.I. guitarist Spike Cassidy, who was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, have sent the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"Our original concept was to utilize the resources most readily available to us; bands, venues, and music fans. A single benefit show snowballed into around 40 separate events in USA and Europe. To keep things simple, most take place on one of three consecutive days. Somewhere along the line, Friday 3rd, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November started being referred to as Spikefest Weekend.[see full story for more] - Click here for the Full Story
