The Bloodhound Gang Play A Wicked Game For New Sex on the Beach Video
PR reports: Bam Margera has made it his mission to expose an entire generation of his peers to some original high-energy music through his Viva La Bands album and tour series. When discussing "exposing" and the Viva La Bands, Vol 2 Cd, one immediately thinks of... The Bloodhound Gang!

Their exclusive track on the compilation that hits stores on September 4, 2007, "Screwing You On The Beach At Night," has spawned a video. This master-work, shot in the coastal paradise that is Atlantic City, New Jersey, takes one of the sexiest videos ever made and ruins it for everyone. They - and you - will thank Chris Isaak for the inspiration.

Brought to you by Ferret Music and Filthy Note Records, VIVA LA BANDS, VOL 2 features exclusive tracks, written and recorded for the CD/DVD combo from some of Bam's favorite acts like The Bloodhound Gang, Clutch, In Flames, Cky And Vains Of Jenna. Now about that video.

Rogue Male was in fact one of the first bands to establish the crossover genre, which mixed various musical inspirations to form a completely new style.

And today Metal Mind Productions presents re-release of those two albums: "First Visit" & "Animal Man". Classic material from Music For Nations archives in a new digipak edition, limited to numerated 2000 copies, will be available on 17th September 2007 via Metal Mind Productions.- more on this story

Clipd Beaks Join the Lovepump
PR reports: Groundbreaking record label Lovepump United (HEALTH, Ghengis Tron) announced today the upcoming release of Hoarse Lords, the debut full-length by Clipd Beaks on November 6th, 2007.

The creation of Hoarse Lords began in the summer of 2005 when Clipd Beaks relocated from Minnesota to Oakland, California. Influenced by hobo culture, the drugged-up hyphy sounds currently dominating Bay Area airwaves, and underground "Neu San Francisco" warehouse parties where techno bangers fade into tribal noise jams, everything on Hoarse Lords is turned up to 11. Harsh and distorted, it's a fitting new sound for a band that references "clipping" in their name, and feels every bit as sick and violent as a severed, bleeding beak. - more on this story

Mailbag: You Can't Handle The Truth, Trust But Verify, The Bone
PR reports: Rory write "Why are you spreading lies about Van Halen? I've seen your lies at Yahoo, Blabbermouth, MTV, Rolling Stone etc etc etc. Why can't you just be happy that Dave is back in the band? You Hagar people make me sick!"

Our response: Rory, we do not know what lies you are taking about. If you are talking about the apparent Michael Anthony snubs then sadly it is the truth. We have no dog in that race but last weekend a reader brought it to our attention that Anthony's songwriting credit was removed from the song "Panama" in a new movie soundtrack. We investigated and discovered that his credits were removed from the entire 1984 album according to ASCAP. Michael came out later in the week and took the highroad, wishing his replacement luck and asking fans to give him a chance. So we'll let Michael have the last word on that matter and wish the band the best of luck on the upcoming tour and hope they show some emo kids how it's really done!

[Trust but Verify] Normally we ignore a few angry emails as that is to be expected, but we received over 100 complaints about last week's Atreyu special. We won't reprint the emails but we do want to clarify that unlike some publications out there we DO NOT SELL editorial features, reviews etc. In fact, you will see plenty of ads across the web for their new album but their people did not include us in that side of things and we did not receive one cent to promote their new album or to run the special. The biggest complaint was that the "song stories" weren't really song stories at all but were rather vague statements about how "rad" the songs were and were a waste of time that did not inspire anyone to check out the CD. We apologize for this as we agreed to run the special before we received the submissions from the band because we felt it would be something our readers would enjoy and we stood by our commitment to run the special. Maybe they didn't understand the concept of the special? Who knows? But from now on if the band doesn't deliver the goods we won't publish the special. Sorry some of you were disappointed in the special, we'll do our best to make sure the future specials live up to the idea of that series. Check out this week's special with Collective Soul and you'll see things are back to how they should be!
