Love surrendered voluntarily to Beverly Hills police.
Love reportedly did not have a prescription for the painkillers. She is expected to be released on bail of $20,000 following her arraignment late Tuesday.
It is not clear if the district attorneys office will seek jail time for Love on the charges or opt for a court order drug diversion program.
She was originally charged with a misdemeanor and her arraignment was postponed until Halloween. But it appears that the DA elevated the charges against Love.
Love was arrested on October 2nd after breaking windows at a friends house in an attempt to get inside. She was booked and then released on $2500 bail, only to be rushed to the hospital less than an hour later for a drug overdose.
She also lost custody of her 11-year-old daughter. Love had the child, Frances Bean Cobain, with late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. Last Tuesday, a Los Angeles Juvenile Court judge ordered Love to vacate her Beverly Hills home so that her daughter and her nanny can return to the residence. Shortly after her arrest, Frances was taken away from Love and placed with her paternal grandmother.
