The young Barry Manilow like crooner moved 612,000 copies of his debut album during its first week in stores. That�s more than double the sales of first season winner Kelly Clarkson�s first week sales of 297,000 for her debut �Thankful�.
The appropriately named rapper Ludacris landed in the no. 2 spot with his latest contribution to the decline of western civilization �Chicken �N- Beer� which sold 193,000 copies its second week in stores.
Nu-R&B�ers Jagged Edge came in at No. 3 will sales of 177,000 of their new one �Hard�. Outkast dropped two spots to No. 4 with their latest �Speakerboxx/ The Love Below�. Rounding out the top 5 is Barbara Steisand in her latest effort to bilk her fanbase, a collection of soundtrack clips titled the �Movie Album�, which suckered 162,000 souls out of their hard earned money this past week.
Where�s the rock? Semi-rockin� Dave Matthews landed at No. 10 with his solo debut �Some Devil� which sold 73,000 copies last week. Jonny Lang returned to the charts at No. 17 with his long awaited forth album �Long Time Coming�.
Finally, Mushroomhead managed to squeak into the Top 40 debuting at No. 40 with their latest XIII.
The American Idol winner Ruben Studdard
will release his debut �Soulful� on November 11th.
