He may have been number 2 on the television show but American Idol runner-up Clay Aiken is number one on the Billboard charts with his debut Measure of a Man.

The young Barry Manilow like crooner moved 612,000 copies of his debut album during its first week in stores. Thats more than double the sales of first season winner Kelly Clarksons first week sales of 297,000 for her debut Thankful.

The appropriately named rapper Ludacris landed in the no. 2 spot with his latest contribution to the decline of western civilization Chicken N- Beer which sold 193,000 copies its second week in stores.

Nu-R&Bers Jagged Edge came in at No. 3 will sales of 177,000 of their new one Hard.  Outkast dropped two spots to No. 4 with their latest Speakerboxx/ The Love Below. Rounding out the top 5 is Barbara Steisand in her latest effort to bilk her fanbase, a collection of soundtrack clips titled the Movie Album, which suckered 162,000 souls out of their hard earned money this past week.

Wheres the rock?  Semi-rockin Dave Matthews landed at No. 10 with his solo debut Some Devil which sold 73,000 copies last week.  Jonny Lang returned to the charts at No. 17 with his long awaited forth album Long Time Coming.

Finally, Mushroomhead managed to squeak into the Top 40 debuting at No. 40 with their latest XIII.
