According to the bands website the title of the CD comes from the marriage of two words... nymphette and... amphetamine. Loosely translated, sex and drugs combine to describe an unhealthy, beast-like addiction to the classical fairer gender or one female ideal in particular. A dark Goddess figure. If women have a sexual, venusian substance, then this relates to the abuse of that substance in vast and unhealthy amounts.
To gear up the anticipation for the disc, the band has been posting details about 2 tracks from the CD each week. So far they have let the cat out of the bag for 11 of the discs reported 13 tracks.
What can we expect from the CD? For an outside the band perspective, Roadrunner ran an article last month where Roadrunner A&R man Mike Gitter discussed what he had heard of the disc.
"I would have to say without a doubt, it's Cradle Of Filth's best record," says Gitter. "Not merely a great COF record, but a great metal record. Both longtime fans and casual listeners will be pretty f***in' surprised."
