(PR) Tired of the L.A. rat race, renowned rock producer and engineer Sylvia Massy �whose massive resume includes Tool, System of a Down, Powerman 5000, Tom Petty, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Aerosmith--built her state-of-the-art RadioStar Studios and started her new indie label National Recorder in the charming Northern California town of Weed, within view of the majestic Mount Shasta.

While her growing roster boasts cutting edge artists from all over the world, it�s ironic that she�s launching National Recorder with the debut album from The Skies Of America, a popular Los Angeles based band driven by the vision of singer/songwriter Rob Bonfiglio. The group�s infectious debut single �Shine��also the album�s title track--is currently being promoted aggressively to Triple AAA and college radio, and is already receiving airplay in cities from New Haven, Connecticut to Seattle, Tacoma and Portland. The album officially drops on October 17.
