That's right, Mick and Keef are reportedly hanging it up following their concert at London's O2 Arena this coming Sunday (8/26/07), the final stop on their "Bigger Bang Tour."
Strangely, the Stones camp haven't announce this supposed retirement so maybe they like the irony of going out with a whisper instead of a bang, contradicting the tour name.
Of course, the news of the retirement comes from an unnamed source so for all we know it's the mailroom guy at their label, the reporter's next door neighbor, the aliens that brought Mick Mars to our planet, Batboy or Clara the Talking Dog. So grab those salt shakers as you read the news.
The Post Chronicle reports that a source said: "We've been told this will be the last tour. Embarking on a Stones world tour takes years to plan. Mick and Keith would be in their late 60s by the time they would be ready to rock once more." The band plays the O2 Arena Tuesday, Thursday and that final show on Sunday.
